Using any form of MVP or prototype will help to confirm your business viability.
Mark is an intense personal boxing coach. He has been competing and fighting but also has a great passion for keeping others fit.
He started his own business as many instructors relying on gyms and other platforms. And then, COVID19 came to change everyone’s game rules.
Like many among us, he embraced ZOOM and other platforms to keep his business going. To be able to book sessions either online or one to one on parks, his clients were exchanging messages mainly using WhatsApp.
It perfectly worked while everything was kept simple (without cancellations, refunds, etc.) But reality always catches up, and the system rapidly became ungovernable.
He approached us and challenged us to create a system to deal with ease all his clients digitally.
Initially, we considered using third-party platforms, but we found out that none of them could solve the entire problem. Most of the booking platforms have not the flexibility for creating packages and tokens at the same time.
We ended up creating a bespoke system. We managed to round every corner of his workflow liberating him over the hazardous tasks of dealing with bookings, refunds, calendars, etc. and be concentrate on what is best: Making us fit!
This is another successful example of how businesses can use already made platforms to confirm their businesses viability. Once you have this confirmation, streamline it by using all the available tech, or as in this case, by building your own.
